What are Mini Sessions?
Well, in a nutshell, a mini session is a photography session that typically lasts about 20 minutes and is offered at a reduced price for consumers. These sessions take place at a pre-determined location with props to suit the theme/location. Clients are able to select their favourite images from an online gallery of edited images.
It’s the perfect way for new clients to get a taste of my photography style before booking a full session. They’re also ideal for “themed” photos throughout the year, marking special events and milestones. My goal is to keep it fun and get as many posed and candid shots as possible.
Is there a limit to the number of people?
Mini Sessions are for immediate family only. There is a short amount of time to work with therefore it's best to keep the subject count to a minimum. If you want to include grandparents or other loved ones, I recommend booking one of my Family Portrait Sessions. Some mini sessions may be just for children only (& will be advertised as such, if so.) Most require babies to be sitting. Please refer to each mini session for the details on who, how many and what ages are allowed. If you want to include more than the allowed amount of siblings you will have to purchase additional time slot(s.) You may request to book back to back sessions with friends and cousins and we will do our best accommodate you and to get shots of them all together.
We are just wanting more generic photos, without props, Can we do a few of those?
If you are interested in more general family photos, a regular session should be scheduled. Mini sessions are set up for a certain theme. Please keep this in mind before booking. Also, additional props should not be brought for mini sessions. If there are certain props or ideas you have for a session, a regular session can be booked.
Can we bring our pet?
No sorry, not for mini sessions.
When Should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early, as we are planning to book sessions back to back
When will our online gallery be available?
Proofing galleries are ready within 1 week. unless indicated otherwise.
How much do mini sessions cost?
Mini Sessions range in price from $75-$199 and include at least 5-8 images. Please refer to each mini session for more details
Can I purchase more digital images than the set amount?
Yes, you may purchase additional digital images directly from your online gallery.
How do we reserve our session?
Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis. I announce mini session dates to clients via Facebook VIP first, then email newsletter the day after, followed by Facebook and on my website for public interest. All bookings require a full payment of the Mini Session fee to secure the date/time of the session. Payment can be made via cash, cheque, EMT or PayPal.
Mini sessions are in no way guaranteed. You are only given 15 mins with us (sometimes 20 min.) We make every effort to work with your family and kids, but we can not be responsible for members who are not cooperating/smiling for photos.
